Employer Brand & Recruitment Marketing

Getting the right people to want the job

Penna began as an attraction and employer brand agency, and that is still half of what we do. Alongside our search and interim teams, we build employer brands, run media campaigns and write the communications that make people stop and look at a role they would otherwise have scrolled straight past. It is why a Penna campaign reaches people a job advert never will.

What we do

Six offerings. Some clients use one. Most end up using several, because the problems usually turn out to be connected.

Employer Branding & EVP

Your employer brand already exists. The only question is whether you wrote it. We find out what people actually think of you, inside and outside the organisation, then help you build a proposition that is true, recognisable and worth moving for.

Employer Brand Healthcheck

An honest read on where you stand. We look at your careers site, your job adverts, your channels and how you show up in search, then tell you what is working, what is quietly putting people off, and the three things to fix first.

Recruitment Campaigns & Media

The campaigns that go out and find people rather than waiting for them. Digital, social, programmatic, paid search and job distribution, planned and bought by our own media team and optimised against applications rather than impressions.

Communications & Engagement

The people you already have are the ones you can least afford to lose. Internal communications that carry your own people through change, and external communications that reach the audiences who matter to you.

Research & Insight

We have a research team in house, which most agencies do not. They listen properly to your own people, test what an audience really thinks, and generate original data you can publish and own rather than borrowing someone else's.

Student Acquisition

Recruitment marketing pointed at students instead of staff. Undergraduate, postgraduate and international campaigns, clearing, open days and prospectuses, built on the same brand and media thinking we use for employers.

Award winning work, and the data underneath it

Our work has won awards for digital experience, recruitment websites and innovation. Awards are not really the point though. The point is what sits underneath them. We tag everything, report on what is working while a campaign is still live, and move budget away from whatever is not. You will know what your campaign delivered, not simply what it cost.

Meet the people behind the campaigns

Recruitment marketing is a craft, and it is done by people rather than platforms. Our strategists, creatives, media planners and researchers have spent their careers doing this. Have a look at who does what, and speak to the person who fits your brief.

We can do the hiring as well

A campaign gets the right people interested. Someone still has to find them, assess them and get them over the line. That is the other half of Penna, and most clients end up using both.
